Before and After

I’m a ‘before and after’ junkie.  Doesn’t matter if it’s a room, haircut, house, or piece of furniture.  A good ‘before and after’ gets me giddy, it’s click-bait.  The shittier the ‘before’ the better.  There will be many opportunities for these little gems during Pop my Ride and I’ll document them here…no matter how mundane or plain.  Watch and witness the magic!

Clean as a whistle…plus the master cylinder is in.

Seats

Originally thought the upholstery was in decent shape until we took the nasty ass sweatshirt off the drivers side.  Oopsies!

Absolutely adorable, right?!

Gas Tank

img_0024

Gas tank before: Covered in tar, dirt, old undercoating and shame.

IMG_0115.jpg

Gas tank after:  Cleaned, sealed, fast-etched (rust protectant) and painted.  Proud as a peacock!

Bell Housing

IMG_9634.JPG

Bell housing before:  This is the engines bell housing, which covers the fly wheel, clutch and pressure plate and is bolted to the engine block.  Caked on crud must be ages old but I attacked my first real cleanup job with vigor!

Bell housing after:  Isn’t it beautiful?  First a good scraping with a putty knife, then a scrub down in the parts washer.  Good as new!
